Shane is the Founder and CEO of LaRue Custom Homes, with over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. His inspiration to start building custom homes, was to build custom homes with the quality and attention to detail that last a lifetime. Shane excels in managing timelines, coordinating with subcontractors, and maintaining clear communication with clients, making sure that their expectations are met and exceeded.


Daniel LaRue
Project Manager
Daniel is a seasoned Project Manager with over 10 years of experience in the construction industry. INITIAL CONSULTATION:
We begin with an in depth discussion to understand your vision, needs, and budget. Discuss Letter of Intent & Pre-Construction Deposit.
INDENTIFY BUDGET AND FUNDING SOURCE:
We can help you find a lender if you do not have one already, or we have flexible cash payment options as well.
HOUSE PLANS:
We will help guide you to designing a home that fits your lifestyle, needs, and budget. We have different levels of Plans Designers we work with based on how visual you need your plans to be.
MEETING/CONSULTATION TO GO OVER SPECS AND FINISHES:
This meeting is to ensure that we have enough in the budget of your estimate to be able to meet all the specs and desired finishes that you want.
SUBMIT ESTIMATE/CONTRACT TO LENDER FOR LOAN PROCESSING (IF APPLICABLE):
This kicks off the Lender to start processing the construction loan and begin working towards a start date for construction.
CLOSE ON CONSTRUCTION LOAN (IF APPLICABLE):
Lender sets closing dateand funds the construction loan.
BEGIN CONSTRUCTION:
Plans are sent to Engineering, Permits are filed, and Site Prep Begins!!
CONSTRUCTION PERIOD:
Homes up to 5,000sf take approximately 6-7 months to complete after the concrete slab is poured. Weather is a big driving factor until the slab is poured. Homes above 5,000sf take approximately 7-12 months to complete after the concrete slab is poured. In perfect weather conditions it is approximately 7-12 months from the time the construction loan is funded.
HOUZZ PROJECT TOOL:
Once we begin you will have a Dashboard in Houzz where you can see Daily Logs, Communicate, track financial status and see the constantly evolving Schedule so you have an idea of what is happening and when.
Price per Sqft Explained

The cost to build a Custom Home is driven by many different factors. While there is no magic price per square foot for a Custom Home we have come up with a range that can come be helpful when designing your home. This is for reference only.
The majority of the Custom Homes we build usually average around $145-$160sf Under-Roof, as long as they have covered parking and porches. The Under-Roof square footage includes all the living space, porches, and garage/carports. If you use living space only as an average, the ranges are around $225-$250sf. Our homes are 100% custom so, ultimately the design, size, and customer selections is what will determine the final price. I will also include below a breakdown of cost per square foot by area so that you can see how an average is determined. Some people get the perception if given an average cost per square foot that that will apply to all areas and it doesn’t, so it’s important to know that when coming up with the design of your home.
